Open Call for Applications | Google TMT Hackathon 2026

<p>The <strong>Information and Language Processing Lab, Kathmandu University</strong> has announced an open call for the <strong>Google TMT Hackathon 2026</strong> ‐ a hands-on innovation challenge for students to build real-world multilingual translation applications.</p> <p>Students can participate individually or in teams of up to 4, competing in two tracks: a <strong>Browser Plugin/Extension</strong> or a <strong>File Translation Tool</strong>, both powered by the Google Trilingual Machine Translation (TMT) API supporting English, Nepali, and Tamang.</p> <p><strong>Registration closes April 25, 2026.</strong> Winners stand to receive up to <strong>NPR 25,000</strong> per track.</p> <p>For more information, <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/14JehEUgk2tHTvYeUAC5zmA7eECsHMm8r/view?usp=drive_link" target="_blank">click here</a>.</p> <p>To register now, <a href="https://forms.gle/ngF13qCrPpgXncEY7" target="_blank">click here</a>.</p>
